1) You're in contact with kids 24/7, so you know what kids think about and how they talk. This can be very helpful when trying to develop story lines that kids would enjoy reading. It will also help you write dialogue that sounds like things kids would actually say these days.

As a mom, you probably also read many picture books to your own child or children. And, as every writer knows, one of the best ways to learn to write picture books and other stories for children, is to READ these types of materials. So just think - each time you read to your child, you'll also be doing something to develop your own career as a writer.

2) Since your full time job is taking care of your family, you'll probably only have short snatches of time during the day and evening to write. But this is perfect for writing short works for kids - things like picture books, easy readers, and even magazine articles and short-stories.

You? Start your own Internet business? Give me a break! You just don’t speak the language, so why even try?

It begins with ‘booting up’ your computer instead of just turning it on. And you can’t simply fill in the necessary information to get something connected: it has to be 'configured.' Also, it's painfully apparent that computer tables and windows bear no resemblance whatsoever to the kind you have in your living room, nor is a browser someone meandering through your local bookstore. And the only directory you know anything about is full of telephone numbers.

Then, of course, there are all those blasted letters: DSL, RAM, ROM, POP, RSS, HTML, FTP, MLM . . . Good grief! How can someone like you even think about starting an online business? Hey, it’s for the kids. They understand all this jargon, all this technical stuff. But you . . .

Well, what about you? Okay. So maybe you don't know what most of those letters mean. And it's a safe bet you don't know a tenth of what the average techie does . . . maybe not even as much as today's computer-savvy ten-year-old. But does that mean you can't do this stuff?

At least, before you decide to pass on the exhilaration of creating your own online business (not to mention the extra bucks you might have at the end of the month), let's look at two possibilities.

First of all, the fact that you have no idea how a telephone works (unless you’re a Verizon repair person) has never stopped you from making phone calls. And you're not afraid to turn on the television set because you don't know how all those moving pictures get inside that little box.

And speaking of letters, even if you had no idea what 'TV' stood for, you could still watch "American Idol." Nor is it necessary to know what ATM means in order to make a cash withdrawal.

Why, letter combos are positively old hat. RPMs have been around since before Sinatra, and mpg was a Henry Ford staple.

All any of it is, really, is that secretarial staple of yesteryear: shorthand. Only these letter codes are a heck of a lot easier to understand than all those lines and squiggles.

Just to convince yourself it's no big deal, why not invent some code of your own? Certainly you have as much right to do it as any computer techie. So why not tell them to FTL and PHO . . . and be absolutely sure they NLFD. That’s Fold The Laundry, Pre-Hear the Oven, and make sure they’re Not Late For Dinner. Remember: sticks and stones can break your bones, but letters can never hurt you. Nor should they stop you.

Okay. That’s the first possibility: breaking the code may not be as necessary as you think it is, e.g., you don't have to know that NaCl is salt in order to sprinkle some on your tomato.

Even so . . . whether you actually need to know all of it or not, maybe you’d be more comfortable if you did. And, obviously, it would be helpful if you knew at least some of it.

Which brings us to possibility number two. Why not learn a few new things? Actually, that’s what makes life an ongoing adventure: no matter how long you’ve been around and how much you’ve discovered already, there’s always something (in fact, plenty!) left to learn.

And the good news is that, with the Internet, learning just got a whole lot easier. You can't use the excuse that it's too cold to go to school, or too hot to go to the library. There's information enough on the Internet for you to earn a PhD just by clicking on your mouse. So what's your excuse now?

I remember, when I was a kid, looking at a piano, and thinking: “How could anyone ever know what all those keys are for?” Truth is, I was afraid to take piano lessons because I was convinced that I’d look foolish if I tried.

And therein lies the rub: we’re so afraid we’ll look foolish that we’re willing to be foolish instead! And how foolish would it be to refuse to learn new things - - things that could help us in any number of ways, brighten our lives, ease our financial burdens - - just because we’re afraid we'll look foolish!

But that's another great thing about the computer. We don't have to walk up to the blackboard with the whole class staring at us. We don't have to worry about tripping, or not knowing the answer, or . . . well, any of the things that seemed to go along with learning back in the good old days.

We can be clumsy and bumbling and slow . . . and nobody will ever know! Even if we do look foolish, it will be for our eyes only. The computer makes us blessedly, mercifully anonymous. It lets us learn and work at our own pace, whatever that pace may be.

And so, if those letter combos have you feeling a bit inadequate, go ahead and look up the definitions. There are plenty of free computer and Internet glossaries available online. My personal favorite is www.Webopedia.com.

Or, if you’re not exactly sure-fingered on the computer, check out some tutorials. Get up to speed on Word or Windows or whatever else you’d like to try. It doesn't cost much. In fact, you can do it for free.

And then, you can move on to setting up your own online business. Yes: YOU!

After all, when you think about it, not getting your slice of the Internet pie just because you’ve let the jargon scare you off is like refusing a cruise to the Bahamas because you don’t understand the bar code on the ticket.

Everything we’ve covered so far pertains to owning and operating a business, but if your only goal is to be able to earn your living from home there’s another, simpler option available to you. That option is to work at home for somebody else. Popularly called telecommuting, it usually entails you being hired to work some type of job that can be done remotely from home. You’re still an employee of some company, so if true financial independence is your goal, this won’t work. But if your desire is really just to avoid having to get up and face the daily commute, this might be the right option for you.

Telecommuting jobs aren’t incredibly easy to find though. Most likely you won’t be able to just answer an ad for a job and be allowed to work from home. Employers typically don’t trust their employees with that much unsupervised time, especially brand new employees who need to be trained. If you already have a job that could easily be done from home, you could try approaching your employer about becoming a telecommuter. This will usually only work if you have been a stellar employee and your employer has tremendous faith and trust in you, or if they value your services so much that they’re afraid to lose you. Even so, most employers are still not open to the idea unless the company already has some experience with telecommuters. It’s kind of a Catch-22, but this is probably the wave of the future, so if you’re willing to be patient about it, it might happen sooner or later. That’s about I’ll say about telecommuting, though, because our real goal is to talk about the great things you can achieve through your OWN business, not through somebody else’s business.

So, what kind of business are you going to start? The best way to find the answer to that question is to start by looking in the mirror. Keep in mind that a business, any business, can only sell one of two things: a product or a service. That’s it. Examine your own skills and job experiences to see what kind of services or products you might be able to capitalize on. Also consider what kind of assets you have readily at hand. Look for any tools, equipment or facilities you already have that can be profitably put to use. With that in mind, some examples of services you might could sell are:

· Word processing skills

· Sewing/Tailoring/Mending (have a sewing machine?)

· Tutoring

· Teaching music lessons (have a piano?)

· Swimming lessons (have a pool?)

Maybe you’d prefer to sell some type of product instead of a service. Essentially there are two categories of things you can sell:

1. Something you make yourself or have made for yourself, and

2. Something somebody else has made.

That’s it. It’s easier to start off by selling someone else’s existing product, because you don’t have to do all the testing, prototyping and market research to work out all the bugs. Eventually, though, you’ll want to start selling your own products, though, because you’ll make more money by selling your own products.

No matter what type(s) of products you settle on, you want to keep some basic things in mind:

· Choose products with accessory sales potential. In other words, whenever you sell something you want to create the possibility for an upsell with some type of additional accessory that will complement and enrich the original product.

· Choose products that have the possibility for back-end sales. This means you’ve sold a product, but at some time in the future your customer may need to buy something else to replenish or replace something that gets consumed in the use of the original product. (Inkjet printers and inks are the best examples that come to mind.

Some quick examples of homemade products you might consider selling:

· Homemade candles. Accessory products would include candleholders, and replacement candles.

· Jewelry crafts. Accessories would include jewelry boxes, display cases and jewelry cleaners.

· Homemade papers and cards. A truly upscale type of personalized product. Accessories might be custom stamps for creating cards, or fancy ribbons, etc.

You get the idea. No matter what your core business idea is, you want to offer as many accessory items as possible. The general rule is that when your customer’s wallet is open you need to get as much money out of it as you can. This sounds crass, but it’s true.

Craft-type businesses usually don’t have great income potential, but they are perfect for somebody who just wants to make a little extra money from their hobby. But if you’re reading this report, you’re probably not the kind of person interested in making just a “little extra money”, so let’s move on!

If you’re more interested in other people’s products, you need to do some research to find suppliers and wholesalers. Many wholesale companies will allow you to “drop-ship” items you sell, meaning you do the selling and simply notify the wholesaler where to send the product. They handle all the shipping for you, for a fee of course, which you pass on to your customer. To find ideas for products you can market, do a web search for direct marketing, drop-shippers, and wholesalers in you favorite search engine.

4) You can develop professional connections and associations with other moms who write, so you'll have other adults to communicate with on a regular basis every day. Many moms can feel isolated when their only contact during the day is with their children. But as a children's writer and mom, you can become part of a professional network of other stay-at-home moms who write for children.

5) You'll build up your writing skills and publishing credits through the years, so by the time your children have grown and left the nest, you will probably be able to make the transition from part time children's writer to full time children's writer fairly easily if you so desire.

2. Before switching on my computer itself I will plan what I am
going to do today for my business. Only then I will look
at other offers waiting for my attention in my mail box. After
finishing my regular promotion job, I will take up my
other things. Otherwise my work will get neglected and
I get distracted to other hype opportunities.

3. I will switch off the television when I am working at home.
Otherwise without my knowledge my attention will be
diverted to the TV program.

4. When I am doing something very serious which requires more
attention such as making an online transaction etc,
I will either switch off the mobile or at least
leave it in silent mode, so that I won't get distracted
if it happens to ring during that time.

Conclusion: If you take care of the distracting factors affecting your business, you will find that you can make your

To make a long story short I ended up making 89.00 at the end of the auction. So I put up a few more and made some more money.

We'll use a total newbie as an example, Lets call her Janet Doe. Janet is a young single mom, she works hard but because of all her expenses she has little to show for it. One day Janet hears about MyMoneyMagic from a friend so she decides to check it out. What she finds is people willing to help her succeed - for free! But that's not all, not by a long shot.

She also finds that the owner of MyMoneyMagic spent thousands of dollars to develop a custom program that will allow anyone to make money online from home easily. With online videos, support and even a chat room to ensure her success. Of course Janet creates a free account, and jumps right in. She starts out reading a couple pages of text that explain the simple steps in detail, she watches a couple of short videos (about 5 minutes each) that show her exactly what to do. She watches as I demonstrate the system in action so she can see first hand how an expert uses it.

Now that she understands the system, she picks some topics she wants to profit from. She decides to pick topics she already knows about, or is interested in learning more about. Since she is eager to make a better life for herself picks topics that will also help her fix her problems. So Janet picks topics like 'fixing your credit' and 'healthy dieting' along with some others that she is interested in. These will be the base for her new business.

Now that she has her topics picked she creates a free blog account for each of her topics. She has already watched the short video and knows exactly what to do, and of course she can always watch it again if she wants to. Setting up the new blog accounts only takes her about 15 minutes and she is ready to start making money. So Janet logs into the MyMoneyMagic system, and adds in her blogs, its as simple as filling out a short form and now she is ready to start earning money.

Now that she has her blogs entered into the system, she looks at the list of blogs she can put her advertising on and picks one that is a topic she wants to profit from. She picks one on credit repair since that is one of the topics she is interested in. Janet now needs to find the first product she wants to profit from, so she heads over to the ClickBank Website and looks for a product about 'fixing your credit'. She finds there are many to choose from, so she just picks one of the top sellers in that category.

She reads the sales page from the credit repair product and makes a few notes about key points of the product. With those notes she writes a couple paragraphs of information about credit repair and she adds her ClickBank ID into the system, so if someone reads her words and clicks her link - she gets paid for the sale! Janet does this over and over because she knows each time she does this she is adding one more 'salesman' to her work force. These are salesman that don't take time off, they work 24/7 even while you sleep.

After doing this a few times, Janet gets comfortable with the system, and she gets even faster. The more she does the faster she gets. Soon she is able to knock them out very quickly, putting a new 'salesman' online every 10-15 minutes. Every day she spends an hour or two working, adding 5-10 or more 'salesman' each day. After a week she has almost 100 salesman online, all from working in her spare time, an hour here, an hour there."

Whatever program you choose, you must keep at it and not stop! This is difficult if you have a job (or more than one), a family, and recreational interests. But, you must discipline yourself to keep posting, keep creating blogs, keep writing articles, and make it happen.
